When I woke up this morning I thought it was going it was going to be another let down. But it wasn’t, as soon as I went outside to shovel the walks I realized I should be packing my gear today. The 4” of snow was so light and fluffy I was sweeping it off the walks with a broom. This kind of snow almost never falls from the ski in Macungie.
I quickly packed up my gear and a quick lunch and headed to work. Pulling in the employee lot the trails looked great. I went to my office checked emails and finished any pressing projects then quickly booted up.
Decided to get F-chair side as fast as we could so we took e chair up, came down Drifter and went through the Family Park, both trails were excellent and there was still plenty of fresh snow to be found. We then lapped Timberline, Broadway, Polar Bear and ended the day with a quick run down Sasquatch.
This was by far my best day out at Bear Creek this season, the snow was perfect, crowds were minimal and every run still had un-tracked lines. Now as I am sitting here typing this all I can think about it booting back up and taking a few more runs, but unfortunately I cannot play all day and have to do some work.
If you have the time I highly recommend getting out and enjoying the slopes today, or at least sometime this week.
