Fun for all families!
Beginning to feel the bite in the crisp morning air? If so, then stop to enjoy all the colors of fall at the Bear Creek Mountain Fall Festival. This family fun event is sure to please everyone from ages 1-100 with nature discussions, chair lift rides, trail runs, pumpkin chucking and tons of fun crafts. Event areas are spread throughout our picturesque resort so be sure to wear your walking shoes!
Big Bear Trail Run
Registration 9-10AM, race begins at 10:15
Additional registration fee applies.
Race will take place on our technical, single track hiking trails. Competitors can choose from either a 5k or a 10k race. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each category. Categories are divied by gender in the following age groups:19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Register online.
Hot Air Balloon Tethered Flights
with Sights Unseen
Feel the thrill of rising 100 feet above the ground in a glorious hot air balloon. Take part in the oldest successful human-carrying flight technology, the Hot Air Balloon. *Weather permitting from 3-5pm. Additional fee for balloon rides apply, purchase your timed ticket at the Guest Services counter.
Rock Wall And Bungee Jump
Did you ever want to go rockclimbing or bungee jumping? Now is your chance to give it a try on our mobile rock wall and bungee jump. Additional fee applies, purchase your timed ticket at the Guest Services counter.
Used Ski & Snowboard Equipment Sale
Proceeds benefit the GEM foundation. Will be held from 10 am to 2 pm in the Kodiak Kids room
Kids Crafts & Activities (All kids crafts and activities are included with festival admission.)
Chair Lift Rides 12-4:30PM
Make a scenic assent to the top of our mountain and take your time to wander down the slopes while taking in all the fall foliage.
Pumpkin Chucking!!! Noon until supplies run out
Stroll up to parking lot 4 for some crazy fun. Man a giant sling shot to fire mini pumpkins into the pond. Aim for the floating target and test your skills. Limit one pumpkin per person, while supplies last.
Bear Wood Carving 12-5PM
New this year, Bear Creek has commissioned a new bear carving. It will be carved on site during the Fall Festival! Come and enjoy our newest bear carving. Sample video can be found here.
Carriage Rides by Trotter's Carriage Services 12:30-2PM and 2:30-4PM
Take a spin down memory lane with an old time horse and buggy ride.
Petting Zoo 12-5PM
Come and meet all of the fun animals at the petting zoo. Each animal has its own personality and charm. You can have the fun of petting and hugging without the clean up!
Face Painting 12-5 PM
Bring the kiddos over to our face painting area and let the little ones become a living work of imagination!
Make and Take Crafts Area 12-5 PM
Be inspired and watch the kids create a wonderful fall themed craft to take home and decorate for fall.
Make a Life Size Scarecrow 12-?
Make a beautiful/scary/funny scarecrow with your family. Clothes and hay will be provided; you bring the imagination and stuffing power! Limit one per family, please, while supplies last.
Hay Bale Maze for Kids All Day
Set the kids off on an adventure to solve a life size puzzle. Parents can use this time to take a breather and let the kids run while you lounge close by and take in the sunshine!
Moon Bounce 12-5PM
Every kid loves to kick of their shoes and bounce to their hearts delight. Have fun and bounce, bounce, bounce!
Trackless Train Rides 12-5 PM
Watch the kids giggle at the tickle of the wind in their hair on the fun filled train rides. Just one ride may not be enough!
Nature Talks with John Henschel 12 - 5PM
Come and spend some time with our Naturalist John. See and touch the wonders of nature while John educates all on the bounty of wildlife in our native Eastern Pennsylvania.

The Manatawny Creek Ramblers began in the hills of Berks County, PA. Playing traditional bluegrass plus a mixed repertoire of original material.
