BEAR CREEK MAKES IMPROVEMENTS FOR 2012-2013 SEASON

MACUNGIE, PA. – Bear Creek Mountain Resort has made improvements for the 2012/2013 winter season that includes; a grab & go café, 22 upgraded snowguns and new equipment for our seasonal rental program.

Bear Bites a forth dining area was added. Located in our main lodge, adjacent to the Mountain Eatery, Bear Bites is a grab & go café that serves a variety of pastries, breakfast foods, specialty coffees and dessert waffles.

Over the summer, 22 of our snowguns were upgraded with a new spray manifold and nozzles. With these upgrades our snowgun fleet is now 75% automated. Automated snowguns monitor the changing weather conditions and make constant machine changes, allowing us to produce the best quality snow possible.

Due to the popularity of our seasonal rental program in its first year, All equipment has been upgraded. Ski packages include Volkl Rtm skis with Marker bindings and Dalbello boots. Snowboard packages include Flow Verve boards with Flow Flight 2 boots and Flow Vega bindings. Seasonal rentals can be purchased in the Tune Shop and start at just $99 per package.

BEAR CREEK OFFERS SKI & STAY PACKAGES STARTING AT $98/PERSON

MACUNGIE, PA. – Bear Creek Mountain Resort, located on over 330 acres in scenic Berks County, Pennsylvania, is offering an incredible value on midweek skiing with an overnight package starting at just $98 per person.

Each package includes:

  • An overnight stay at The Hotel at Bear Creek, the resort’s 116 room hotel located at
  • the base of the mountain and just steps from the chair lifts with panoramic slope views.
  • Lift ticket for the evening of arrival and the following day
  • A 50% discount on all ski and snowboard rental equipment
  • A 50% discount on all Discovery lessons at the Snowsports School
  • The option to add complimentary snowtubing tickets
  • Additional special offers for resort amenities

Bear Creek features 21 trails for skiing and snowboarding ranging from beginner to expert, three progressive terrain parks and the longest snowtubing park in the region. Ski and Stay participants will also have access to various resort amenities, including indoor and outdoor heated pools and hot tubs, The Spa at Bear Creek and Four dining facilities, including The Grille at Bear Creek, a full service restaurant and bar, the Trail’s End café and Bar, offering casual dining, the Mountain Eatery, a traditional cafeteria located in the lodge and Bear Bites a Grab & Go Café located in the lodge.

MACUNGIE, PA. ? The 2012 Bear Creek Harvest Wine Festival will be held on October 21, 2012 at Bear Creek Mountain Resort and Conference Center. The Festival will take place from1?5pm and will be held indoors in the Lodge and Mountain Ballroom.

Bear Creek will host nine Pennsylvania wineries including: A'Dello Vineyard & Winery, Antler Ridge Winery, Bee Kind WineryBlue Mountain Vineyards & Cellars, Cardinal Hollow Winery, Flickerwood Wine Cellars, Kog Hill Winery, Naylor Wine Cellars, Paradocx Vineyard, Peace Valley Winery, Sand Castle Winery, Stonekeep Meadery, Tamanend Winery, University Wine Company.

In addition, local food and retail vendors will be sampling and selling popular wine pairings. Attendees will enjoy live entertainment by local musicians Jake Kaligis and RED.

BEAR CREEK PARTNERS WITH USO TO HOST WARRIOR AND FAMILY HEALING WITH HONOR SEMINAR

MACUNGIE, PA. - In recognition of the anniversary of the September 11 tragedy, Bear Creek Mountain Resort is finding ways to say ‘Thank You’ to our military and their families. This month, Bear Creek has partnered with the USO, an organization that strives to lift the spirits of American troops and their families, by graciously opening our doors to host a family retreat and seminar.

Guests participated in a two-day Stronger Families- Oxygen Couples seminar, as part of the USO Warrior and Family Care program.This program is also supported by the Army’s Wounded Warrior Program, Navy Safe Harbor and the Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment. While onsite, guests spent quality time strengthening their family bonds by utilizing the peacefulness and tranquility of our resort.

Each year, Bear Creek hosts numerous meetings, conferences, retreats and social events in over 26,000 square feet of flexible space. The resort continues to support our community by donating goods and services for important causes such as this.
