The Sit-Down with the Snowmakers 12/26/17

Arialle Hess
Happy Holidays everyone! If you are looking for a great winter escape during the holiday break, we have just the thing!
Today Assistant Snowmaking Manager Kevin Jennings will share updates on Bear Creek's slope conditions and snowmaking plans for the holiday week.

Q: It’s getting cold again. Is it time to start up the guns?
A: You bet! The cold weather is predicted to hang around for the next 12 days, so this week is definitely a big help to help recover from the warm spell.

Q: How was production on Monday night?
A: We had a 6-hour run, covering the slopes with 1.2 million gallons of quality snow.

Q: Have you been able to make any progress on opening more trails?
A: Yes, we have opened all trails except for Brown Bear.

Q: Now that we have some consistently cold temps, what does your plan look like during the holiday week?
A: The focus over the next few days is to simply make as much snow as possible, while producing a nice dry product by morning to make conditions the best we can for the guests.
