mountain camp logo PNGThe Bear Creek Mountain Camp is a truly unique experience for our campers. The week-long day camp will combine an immersive learning experience with Science Explorers in the morning, followed by an incredible afternoon outdoor experience that only a resort such as Bear Creek can offer. Each week will feature a different Science Explorer theme in the morning.  Each afternoon will be spent taking part in our wide variety of fun outdoor activities. Your kids will exercise their minds and bodies, and will have a blast doing so!

This week-long day camp is offered over 7 weeks during the summer months. Choose the week that best suits your schedule and child's interest. It's a great way to make new friends, build really cool stuff, as well as experience 330 acres of fresh air and fun games!science explorers logo png

Additional Family Fun
Parents' Night
Every Thursday from 6-8pm parents can join their kids to experience all the fun for themselves at our Mountain Camp Open House!
Family Pool Membership
Register by June 10 and all immediate family members will be allowed access to the resort's outdoor pool!
  • Pool membership runs from June 17 through Labor Day.
  • Pool Access Hours: Monday-Thursday 12-7pm and Sunday 12-5pm
Any persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Access is only permitted to the outdoor pool and only by immediate family members of Bear Creek Mountain Camp participants.

 

Rates
Flexible payment options are available. Choose the stretch pay option and payments can be as low as $123/month!
  • Early Bird Special: $369/week per child (Expires April 30)
  • Regular Rate: $399/week per child (while space is available)
Week 1 (July 1 - July 3) is discounted to $265 (early bird) and $295 (regular) per child due to holiday restrictions.

All camps run Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, with the exception of Week 1.
Bear Creek will offer early drop off and late pick up if needed. View each week's theme below. Availability is limited.
Week 1 July 1 - July 3
This week, the camp will run Monday-Wednesday due to the holiday weekend.
Morning Science Explorer Theme: Slime of My Life
  • We’ve taken our after-school club programs from 2018-19 and turned them into a fun-filled, week-long camp that features a new slime every day, in addition to exploring an array of amazing science!  For the morning portion of the camp we will make chalkboard slime and all new color changing slime and magnetic slime! In addition, we’ll build inventions like catapults, discover how electricity and circuits work by making conductive dough,  and explore biology as we extract DNA from a banana and dissect an owl pellet.

Week 2 July 8 - July 12
Morning Science Explorer Theme: Potions, Powders & Polymers 
  • Is it science or magic? You’ll find out! In this camp, you’ll create erupting foam monsters, conduct amazing air pressure experiments, dig for hidden treasures, investigate the science of illusions and build spectroscopes to view the spectrum of different types of light.

Week 3 July 15 - July 19
Morning Science Explorer Theme: Far Out Space Academy 
  • 3…2…1 BLAST OFF to discovering space and flight! Campers will explore the stars and constellations as you take an out-of-this-world sky tour in our homemade planetarium, prepare for lift-off as you build and launch your own rocket while learning about Newton’s Laws of Motion, and complete a mission to Mars as you design and build your own model space station.   Come join us on our mission through outer space!

Week 4 July 22 - July 26
Morning Science Explorer Theme: Earth Guards 
  • Join us as we discover how we can all work together to make the world a better place to live. We will create our own natural dyes from vegetables and plants, plant our own garden, use a natural indicator to investigate acids and bases, and discover the secrets of pollination in  this fun-filled week of camp. We’ll end by making our own hand-made ice cream treat.

Week 5 July 29 - August 2
Morning Science Explorer Theme: Take a Dive 
  • Dive into the world of marine biology and oceanography!  Campers will actually dissect a real shark, participate in a fisherman’s challenge, examine the anatomy of a fish and learn the ancient technique of gyotaku or “fish rubbing”, learn to survive at sea with a homemade solar still, create a kelp forest and make your own submarine.

Week 6 August 5 - August 9
Morning Science Explorer Theme: Third Rock from the Sun
  • Join us as we investigate all kinds of science that surround us every day on Earth. You will conduct experiments with CO2, investigate microbes, discover the magic of air, and make and erupt your own volcano!

Week 7 August 12 - August 16
Morning Science Explorer Theme: Crazy Coding with Rad Robots
  • Come and explore the world of programming, sensors and artificial intelligence. Campers will learn not only the anatomy of a robot, but how to program them as well. We’ll teach the basics of sequential key programming and algorithms as we help the robots play games, complete tasks, and respond to commands through its various sensors. This awesome hands on experience will leave your child saying “Domo arigato.”

What to Know
Drop Off/Pick Up Schedule
All campers must be dropped off and picked up at the Lodge Plaza (lot 2) near the Rental Shop.
Early drops-offs or late pick-ups are a $25 additional charge or $40 for both (pick up and drop off).

Food
Lunch is provided by Bear Creek, but feel free to send a snack bag with your child.

All campers receive a souvenir T-shirt for their time at the Bear Creek Mountain Camp!
