Please Note: Our Private Lessons this season are designed as student-centered, guest oriented lessons that promote safety, fun and learning.

Children's Private Lessons
These Children's Private Lessons are taught by professional children's instructors. Children 4 and 5 years old must have a one-on-one lesson. Not recommended for children under 4.
Young Children's Private Lessons (for children ages 4 & 5 years old)
  • 1 hour lesson available at 10am and 1pm daily
  • Lesson includes a complimentary extended day lift ticket (ticket is not transferrable)

Individual Private Lesson
Individual Private Lesson offering exclusive one-on-one instruction. The Individual Private Lesson is available for students 8 years old to adults.

Family & Friends Private Group Lesson
Our Family & Friends Private Group Lesson allows you to schedule your Private lesson with friends or family members in order to provide a safe, fun learning experience for our guests. We encourage groups of up to 6 people. This lesson can be any combination of students from 8 years old to adults. This is the perfect opportunity for families to ski or snowboard together. 
  • 2 hour lesson for guests ages 8 and up
  • Available at 10am, 10:30am, 11am, 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm, and 6pm daily
  • $170 up to 2 people, $50 for each additional person (maximum of 6 people in a lesson)
  • All guests in lesson should be at a compatible skill/terrain level and share the lesson
  • Skiers and Snowboarders may share a lesson
  • Lesson does not include a lift ticket or rental equipment
 
  • *All lessons are non-refundable unless Bear Creek is closed for the day
  • *All students will be required to wear a facial covering over their mouth and nose while in lift lines, riding the chair lift, when physical distancing of at least 6 feet cannot be maintained, and at other times as requested by thier instructor.

Bear Creek Polar Bear Club
Our winter club is for children ages 8 to 15 from beginners through expert skiers and snowboarders. Lessons will include 2 hours of small-group on-snow instruction. Participants will be grouped on the first day and remain with their group for all three sessions. Some groups will work on freestyle fundamentals needed to explore our beginner park features.  If rental equipment is purchased it will be pre-set and ready to go when you arrive at check-in. Check in is located on the plaza in front of the school. You may register your child for any 3 consecutive weekend sessions either Saturday or Sunday/morning or afternoon. Sessions are held from 10am-12pm (morning) or 1pm-3pm (afternoon). Feel free to register for multiple sessions if desired. Reservations are required.

Tuesday Night Youth Series

This six-week lesson series for both skiers and snowboarders is designed to refine existing skills and explore new terrain while developing well rounded skiers and riders. This is also a great series for first-time skiers and riders to acquire a solid foundation from the beginning.

  • Series for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities age 8-14
  • Tuesdays 6:30pm-8pm
  • Series dates: Jan. 5, 12, 19, 26, Feb. 2, 9
  • $145 for six-week series (lesson only, does not include lift ticket or rentals)
  • $115 for six-week series for members of any Eastern Pennsylvania Ski Council club. Must present proof of club membership at time of purchase. (lesson only, does not include lift ticket or rentals)
  • $144 add lift tickets (6 sessions)
  • $132 add rental equipment (6 sessions)

Youth Development & Racing Programs

These eight-week programs are designed to build solid fundamentals and strong all-terrain skiing skills that will allow young skiers to pursue any avenue of skiing expression they desire -  recreational, competitive, or professional. Our goal is to build a lifelong love of the sport and to develop well-rounded skiers through a diverse combination of  free-skiing, skill-development drills, and tactical gate training. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in NASTAR and special non-sanctioned slalom and giant slalom races at Bear Creek as a part of these programs.  For registration information, contact the snowsports school at 610-641-1319

 Mountain Mastery Parents Program

A five-weekend program is specifically designed with skiing parents in mind. Coached by top-level trainers (the same folks who train our instructors), this family-focused series develops technical and tactical mastery while also teaching parents how to successfully shape the skiing skills of their children.

  • Program for parents with intermediate or advanced skiing skills
  • Saturdays Jan. 9, 23, 30, Feb. 6, 20 from 1-3pm
  • Sundays Jan. 10, 24, 31 Feb. 7, 21 from 1-3pm
  • Available as a five-session program (Sat. or Sun.) or as a ten-session program (Sat. and Sun.)
  • $160 for five-session program. $320 for 10-session program. (Clinic only, does not include lift ticket)

 Women's Clinics

Women's First-Timer Clinics
  • Two-day introductory clinic held on consecutive Tuesdays
  • Jan. 5 & 12 from 9:30am-3:30pm daily. Complimentary Extended day ticket allows you to ski until 9pm.

Thursday Women’s Focus Group
  • Not for first-time skiers.
  • Four-day women’s clinics with flexible dates.
  • Pick any four of the following Thursdays: Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18.
  • Clinic from 9:30am-3:30pm daily. Complimentary Extended day ticket allows you to ski until 9pm.
  • $275 for lift/lesson package (4 days)

 Tips - Turns - Tactics
This program, for skiers ages 50 and over is designed to help sharpen your skills, build confidence, or tune up for a trip. Our Tips-Turns-Tactics clinic is a must for those anxious to improve in a relaxed atmosphere, meet new friends and develop the skills and techniques to keep skiing with family and freinds for years to come!
  • Clinic for individuals ages 50 and up
  • Program times: 10am to 1pm
  • Pick any of the following dates: Jan. 6, 13, 20, 27, Feb. 3, 10, 17
  • $40 per session or $140 for any 4 sessions (clinic only, does not include lift or rentals)
  • Skill levels - Intermediate to Advanced

 Instructor Training Course
2020-21 Instructor Training Course:
The Bear Creek Snowsports School is looking for outgoing, friendly, guest centered skiers and snowboarders interested in joining our team of enthusiastic instructors!
The two-day Instructor Training Course (ITC) will be held November 14 & 15 and will consist of indoor/outdoor training, team building and evaluation. On-snow training will be conducted the first weekend Bear Creek is open for the season.
The fee for the course is $25 for Instuctor Candidates.*
Associate Instructor Candidates (14 & 15 years old) will not be charged for the ITC but will be required to complete a PSIA/AASI Junior Certificate e-learning course after the ITC at a cost of $25
Requirements
  • All candidates must be intermediate or better skiers/riders to become instructors.
  • Associate Instructor positions (Ski and Snowboard) are available to 14 and 15 year olds.
  • Anyone 16 years old and up should apply as Ski or Snowboard Instructors
  • Top candidates will be offered a position after the on-snow training. *If you are not selected your course fee will be refunded.
