The Transition Towards Fall

Jeff Zellner

As is the case every year, the summer went by in a flash.  Schools are back in session, the evenings have begun to cool down and soon the leaves will begin their turn.  September is a month of transition both in terms of weather and in terms of mentality.  For me, September represented a month filled with the best of summer and fall.   Not only can you watch meaningful baseball and still enjoy comfortable nights outdoors, but you could also catch some college football, and get to page through the buyers guides from Ski Magazine.   September in many ways has elements of the best of both seasons.  September is an extremely busy time at Bear Creek that is also filled with some great elements of summer as well as a sneak peak of the winter to come.
If you haven’t been to The Grille this summer for outdoor dining, you have a couple opportunities to experience the region’s best outdoor dining.  Music Under the Stars concludes for the season on September 7th with music by WE3.   Sunday Night Jazz continues through September 10th with music from George Torella and GT3 Jazz Standards.  In addition, just because the summer is ending, the deals will continue at The Grille this fall.  Stay tuned for some exciting promotions and great food.   The Spa will feature another great special this month featuring $15 off manicures and pedicures.  For the winter enthusiast, season passes go on sale September 1st and the 17/18 ski season are now up on the new website.
Bear Creek is excited to head into the fall season.  We would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Labor Day weekend and can wait to see everyone soon.
