October- A season of change

Jeff Zellner

As quickly as the summer flew by, so did the month of September.  School is back in session, and Halloween is on the doorstep.  October is a beautiful time of year when you can enjoy some of the best parts of summer with the beauty of the fall foliage.   On a personal note,   October has always held a special place in my heart for a variety of reasons.   As a huge baseball fan, I always loved the month where the games got serious.  College football games begin to pick up.   Furthermore, Halloween is only a few weeks away.   I always enjoyed Halloween as a child, and it’s now my daughter’s most favorite holiday.   Beyond all the great things that happen during the month of October, it was a time where I really started to get excited about the upcoming winter season.  Generally, I would page through the buyers guides, get the updated winter brochures, and begin to map out my winter season.  It is a month for optimism and hope for a great year and has always held a special place for me.
At Bear Creek October is the peak of our busy wedding season.  Brides, grooms, and their families have been arriving for the most special day with the backdrop of beautiful fall foliage.   This month, half-priced sushi is back at The Grille.  Stop by every Wednesday night for freshly–made sushi for a fraction of the price from 5-9pm.   In addition, Harvest Wine Fest is back on October 22nd.  Enjoy the best local wine, food, and music from 12-5pm on Sunday October 22nd.   Get your tickets early as supply is limited.  Lastly,   Season passes are now on sale with early-bird pricing expiring on November 30th.   Don’t miss out on the lowest prices of the season.
October is a very exciting month at Bear Creek.   It is a month with so much going on and so many exciting things on the horizon.   Have a great month of October and a Happy Halloween!
