With the arrival of November comes thoughts of Thanksgiving, the holiday season, football, and spending time with family and loved ones. It also marks the impending arrival of ski season and all the great things that come with it. During my teenage years, when skiing was just about the most important thing in my mind, I would often beg my mom to take us to the local resort to get our season pass photo and get a glimpse of any changes and that have been made and develop my first mental image for the upcoming season. In addition, around the time of Thanksgiving, I would keep a very close eye on snowmaking updates. In those days, there was an 800 number that you had to call to get the latest scoop. Throughout my childhood, and today, the month of November has always been a very special time in the year. A time for friends, family, and looking forward to great times ahead.
As the month of November arrives, Bear Creek is busy on all fronts. We have brides and grooms, as well as their families arriving to spend the perfect wedding day. We have guests arriving for the great Grille specials such as Prime Rib Fridays, Half-Priced Sushi, or Martini Mondays. We also have winter guests arriving to purchase season passes, lessons, and get the first glimpse of the winter season. A couple things to note this month; the season pass early-bird deadline has been extended this year to November 30th. This will allow guests an additional month to get the season’s best deals on season passes. The Youth Development and Racing program is quickly filling up, so make sure to join this program if you have children that want to learn the fundamentals of racing and practice it on a NASTAR course. The Grille is hosting Prime Rib Fridays every Friday during November. Don’t miss out on this once a year special that has become a huge hit with our guests. Lastly, don’t forget that the Tune Shop and Slopeside Sports are now open for the season as well as Seasonal Rentals. Don’t delay, get yourself and your gear ready for the 17/18 season.
Lastly, from all of us at Bear Creek, have a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday!
