A: Last evening was more of a “dusting” to improve conditions, rather than a big production run. We operated the system for 8 hours and used around 1.1 million gallons. The wet-bulb hung out at around 24-26 which was just cold enough for us to effectively convert. Luckily, the wind was calm, which allowed us to lift the barrels up/give the plume some hang time, oscillate the fans, and spread the product around as much as possible.

Opening Day is Set!
Bear Creek is happy to announce that we will be open for skiing and riding on Saturday, December 16th at 10am. We anticipate having nearly all terrain open, with all lifts in operation. We will not be opening tubing on Saturday, however, keep posted for updates regarding this offering.
We are very happy and encouraged by the cold temperatures in the early part of December and can’t wait to see everyone on the slopes. We will continue to make snow whenever possible, including during operating hours to create the best conditions …
